Magnus - There is another sad reality. Once we have offspring, our lives are devalued and the value torn from them are passed onto our offspring. Our children are now worth more than their parents are, and the parents are expected to make all sorts of sacrifices to be 'good' parents. Society demands this, and doing anything less earns you a lot of frowns and a lot of scoffs. We understand this on a core level, perhaps subconsciously so, ergo a lot of people will do this. They'd throw all their expectations and their failed life goals onto their offspring. |
